Job summary

Vanguard India is expanding its Hyderabad-based technology center focused on AI, mobile, and cloud technologies. The role provides intermediate-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of backend applications and databases to support scalable, secure data pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, a CS/IT/BCA degree, and strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node JS, AWS, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA).
• Experience with database design, SQL, and data optimization techniques for high-performance applications.
• Familiarity with API development, integration, and third-party software integration.
• Must have skills: Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node JS, AWS, SQL queries, Github, Bitbucket, Bamboo, CI/CD, TDD/BDD, Python (optional).
• Proficiency in Agile, Confluence, JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products.
• Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients.
• Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Uses software development techniques to support automation.
• Elevates code into development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides production support and documents changes.
• Follows software development methodology and architecture standards.
• Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle.
• Understands client business functions and technology needs; knows Vanguard tools and interfaces.
• Learns and complies with IT and Information Security policies.
• Contributes to optimizing system performance through efficient database design and code enhancements.
• Supports data pipelines between APIs and backend systems; ensures data accuracy and integrity.
• Maintains software documentation for backend components and architecture.
• Applies intermediate knowledge of backend security and data protection.

Role Summary

This role provides intermediate-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases and supports backend performance optimization, data integration, documentation, and secure development practices.

Responsibilites

• Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products.
• Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation.
• Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
• Follows software development methodology. Follows development architecture standards.
• Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues. Participates in systems analysis activities.
• Understands client business functions and technology needs. Understands Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems.
• Learns and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Contribute to optimizing system performance through efficient database design and code enhancements to support scalability.
• Support the integration and maintenance of data pipelines between APIs and backend systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain and update software documentation for backend components, highlighting logic, processes, and architecture.
• Apply intermediate knowledge of backend system security and data protection best practices during development.

Qualifications And Skills

• Experience with database design, SQL, and data optimization techniques for high-performance applications.
• Familiarity with API development, integration, and third-party software integration.
• Must have skills: Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node JS, AWS, SQL queries, Github, Bitbucket, Bamboo, CI/CD, TDD/BDD, Python (optional).
• Proficiency in Agile, Confluence, JIRA.
• Aptitude for continuous process improvement for process flows/workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including front‑end developers and business stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern development tools is a plus.
• Adobe Experience Manager AWS Cloud Background.
• Expert in debugging in AWS and legacy systems using modern tools.
• Proficiency in Agile Monitoring/refining dashboards, SLOs, and solving known problems by following playbooks.
• Strong Software Development background with hands‑on development experience, including API development, Python(Preferred), and TypeScript (5-7 years).
• Experience with LLM and Agent Development.
• Strong prompt engineering skills with an understanding of how agents and memory management work.
• Experience with AI workflows and automation.
• Sound understanding of data concepts and AWS.
• Experiance in UI Path Platform and UIPath Agent Builder background,
• Python is mandatory
