Job summary

Vanguard in Hyderabad, India, seeks an Application Engineer to support AI initiatives with Python, TypeScript, and API development. UI Path exposure is a plus.

The role collaborates with business and tech teams to translate problems into scalable backend solutions and data workflows, including AWS and data concepts. Ideal candidate has exposure to LLMs, agent development, prompt engineering, AI workflows, automation, and experience with UiPath Agent Builder.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT, or BCA.
• Experience with database design, SQL, and data optimization for performance.
• Familiarity with API development, integration, and third-party software integration.
• Proficiency in Agile, Confluence, JIRA.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Python (mandatory) and TypeScript development, API design, etc.

Role Summary

We are seeking an Application Engineer with strong software development experience in Python, TypeScript, and API development to support emerging Agentic AI initiatives. Candidates having experience in UI Path and UI path agent is good to have. The role involves working closely with business and technology teams to understand problem statements, evaluate suitable AI tools, and guide solution design across a platform-agnostic environment. The ideal candidate should have exposure to LLMs, agent development, prompt engineering, AI workflows, automation, AWS, and data concepts. Experience with UiPath Agent Builder, Amazon Bedrock, QuickSight, or financial services domain knowledge will be an added advantage. This role offers an opportunity to work on real business use cases in a fast-evolving AI space.

Responsibilites

• Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products.
• Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation.
• Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
• Follows software development methodology. Follows development architecture standards.
• Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues. Participates in systems analysis activities.
• Understands client business functions and technology needs. Understands Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems.
• Learns and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Contribute to optimizing system performance through efficient database design and code enhancements to support scalability.
• Support the integration and maintenance of data pipelines between APIs and backend systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain and update software documentation for backend components, highlighting logic, processes, and architecture.
• Apply intermediate knowledge of backend system security and data protection best practices during development.

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA).
• Experience with database design, SQL, and data optimization techniques for high-performance applications.
• Familiarity with API development, integration, and third-party software integration.
• Must have skills: Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node JS, AWS, SQL queries, Github, Bitbucket, Bamboo, CI/CD, TDD/BDD, Python (optional).
• Proficiency in Agile, Confluence, JIRA.
• Aptitude for continuous process improvement for process flows/workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and business stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern development tools is a plus.
• Adobe Experience Manager AWS Cloud Background.
• Expert in debugging in AWS and legacy systems using modern tools.
• Proficiency in Agile Monitoring/refining dashboards, SLOs, and solving known problems by following playbooks.
• Strong Software Development background with hands‑on development experience, including API development, Python(Preferred), and TypeScript.
• Experience with LLM and Agent Development.
• Strong prompt engineering skills with an understanding of how agents and memory management work.
• Experience with AI workflows and automation.
• Sound understanding of data concepts and AWS.
• Experience in UI Path Platform and UiPath Agent Builder background,
• Python is mandatory
