Responsibilities
- Support pre‑sales engineering for Fire Detection System global projects as per country specific standards.
- Prepare bill of material and estimate costs to produce a competitive bid.
- Review project inputs and specifications to capture scope and fulfill requirements.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, SOP and identify equipment related to the Fire Detection System.
- Participate in project kick‑off / review meetings with technical queries, maintain compliance / deviations log, risk logs and record minutes of meeting.
- Adhere to standard estimation process and guidelines to select proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials and services to produce optimum budget.
- Create bill of material, select backend, field devices, software, network connection, cable types and length calculations related to Fire Detection System.
- Prepare costing sheet including preliminaries and other costs, cost comparison charts, checklist, technical write‑up, block diagram, deviation chart etc.
- Ensure quality assurance, defect‑free deliverables, on‑time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Escalate issues appropriately to avoid impact on project delivery schedule; scope‑creep escalations must be supported with evidence.
- Provide coaching and professional development to team members to enhance product knowledge, technical acumen and technical sales skills.
- Keep operational parameters at desired level for all assigned projects.
- Ensure timesheet compliance; review entries for self and team.
- Prepare weekly/monthly customer reporting for project progress.
- Participate in organization employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- BE/ME in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics or Electronics & Communication.
- Strong knowledge of Fire Detection System.
- Expertise in NFPA / BS 5839 / EN / FM standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), BlueBeam.
- Quick learner, team player with strong problem‑solving eye.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Preferred 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Fire Detection System.
