Job description

The Software Developer supports the design, development, and maintenance of software applications that meet business needs. This role exists to help deliver reliable and well-tested software while gaining hands-on experience with modern development tools and practices. The position works closely with senior developers, product managers, and QA teams to learn best practices and contribute to high-quality solutions. This role provides strong growth opportunities in a collaborative engineering environment.## Essential DutiesWrite, test, and maintain code for software applications under guidance of senior developers. Assist in developing and enhancing front-end and/or back-end components. Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality. Write basic unit and integration tests to support application reliability. Help troubleshoot and resolve bugs and support issues. Follow established coding standards, documentation practices, and processes. Collaborate with team members in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives). Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and frameworks as needed. Previous Work Experience, including Leadership Experience • 2+ years of IT experience in building front-end and/or back-end systems. Technical / Domain Specific / Functional Experience and Knowledge • Basic experience of Java. • Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, NodeJS, Spring). • Basic understanding of version control (Git) and Agile development. • Exposure to relational databases (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases. GIA or G&J Industry Specific Experience and Knowledge • Industry experience preferred but not required.
