Software Developer – Salesforce B2B
Location: Bangalore - India
General Purpose
We are looking to hire a Salesforce B2B Developer who will play a vital role at MillerKnoll. This proactive individual will help us implement Salesforce B2B in our organization and prioritize user satisfaction in all aspects of B2B Commerce. The role supports and enables various divisions of the business across the globe, requiring an understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodology to design, develop, test, and implement solutions that meet end‑user needs.
Responsibilities
- Build B2B Commerce solutions, including Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Cart, Search, Product Recommendations, Inventory management, and Order management through configuration.
- Setup, build, and maintain Salesforce Communities/Experience sites.
- Technical design and implementation using CPQ.
- Use Salesforce APIs/MuleSoft to integrate with other systems used in the organization.
- Collaborate with the Salesforce team to validate business requirements and consider security, scalability, and limits.
- Adhere to Salesforce best practices and governor limits.
- Document solutions for future reference and incident deflection.
- Apply problem‑solving skills and execute solutions independently.
- Assist Product Owners in defining new features and translating technical requirements.
- Communicate status and open issues to the development team and leads.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
- Prototype and develop new ideas, participating in all lifecycle stages from research to release.
- Contribute to a digital culture of collaboration, inclusion, support, and continuous improvement.
- Review the work of fellow engineers collegially to ensure code quality and consistency.
- Participate in Communities of Practice in areas of development of particular interest.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 4–6 years of Salesforce development experience, with at least 3 years in Salesforce B2B development.
- Proficiency with CPQ, CMS, Field Service Lightning, Order Management, Billing, and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
- Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.
- General web development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications.
- Ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders.
Additional Qualifications
- Able to work independently.
- Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders and other Salesforce team members.
- Familiarity with Headless commerce, GA, and MuleSoft integration.
- Drive change, including programs that improve developer productivity and reduce time to market.
- Aptitude to independently learn new technologies.
- Superior ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
- Well versed in unit testing and debugging techniques.
- Self‑motivated, detail oriented, analytical, and able to function well in a self‑directed, team‑oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience working on an Agile development team, preferably using Scrum.
- Active participation through all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Strong organizational skills for managing varied workloads and responding to business needs.
- Understanding of efficient coding standards.
- Ability to influence and consult during key technical decisions, providing options with pros, cons, and risks.
- Proficiency with office automation, communication, software, and tools used in the HMI office environment.
- Capable of performing all essential functions of the position with or without supervision.
- Shift timings: 12:00 P.M.–9:00 P.M. or 2:00 P.M.–11:00 P.M. Work may occasionally be requested in a different shift to support critical issues or releases.
Desirable
- Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Field Service Lightning Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant.
- Competency in additional languages/development such as JavaScript, SQL, REST/SOAP‑based web services.
- Demonstrated continued personal/professional development.
- Active in the Salesforce community.
The work location is Bangalore, India. During the initial six months (probationary period), employees will work from the office and then transition to a hybrid working model.
Reporting Structure
- Locally reporting to Team Lead and IT Manager in India.
- Matrix reporting to WTL in the US.
