UPS is seeking an experienced IT Architect to influence the development and implementation of IT strategy, architecture, and governance. You will assemble enterprise capability reviews and align technical solutions with business needs, guiding project direction and architecture across lifecycle.

The role focuses on leveraging data, technical and business knowledge to drive capability frameworks at portfolio and enterprise levels, including initiation, feasibility and analysis phases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience defining new architectures and leading architectural directions.
• Strong knowledge of DDD, TS/Java, and cloud-based solutions.

Job Summary

This position influences the development and implementation of Information Technology (I.T.) strategy, initiatives, and governing policies. He/She assembles detailed reviews of the enterprise and documents capabilities and conceives approaches to aligning technical solutions with business needs. This position assists in defining the direction for projects and solution architecture. This position plans and champions the execution of broad initiatives aimed at delivering value to internal and external stakeholders. He/She leverages data, technical, and business knowledge to drive the development of capability frameworks at portfolio and enterprise levels. This position is involved throughout the project life cycle with emphasis on the initiation, feasibility, and analysis phases.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in Software Development.
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point
• Domain Driven Design
• Knowledge of Typescript and Java
• Experience with developing software solutions & web services
• Understanding of Information Security practices, database design principles, cloud base solutions, UPS.com systems & business capabilities
• Experience in DevOps and Agile
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• NoSQL and SQL databases
• Cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP, Azure
• Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Computer Science or related field - Preferred
• Has lead teams
• Good at maths and analytical thinking
