Job summary

Sutherland is seeking an experienced MES/SCADA engineer for a Pune-based role with hybrid office work. You will work directly on MES/SCADA deployments, focusing on Ignition and Sepasoft configurations and support.

Responsibilities include hands-on development, data integration, and troubleshooting across IT/OT environments, applying Python and SQL skills to MES data, with emphasis on regulated industry familiarity.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years hands-on experience with MES and/or SCADA apps.
• Strong experience with Ignition: configuration, projects, gateway, troubleshooting.
• Ignition and Sepasoft implementation/support preferred.
• Hands-on configuring and supporting MES modules (Sepasoft a plus).
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Strong SQL skills with MES schemas, transactions, and audit data.
• Experience working directly within MES/SCADA apps.
• IT/OT ownership understanding (servers, databases, integrations).
• Experience supporting data ingestion via OPC UA, MQTT, or similar protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot ITOT app, data, and integration issues.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with regulated environments (medical devices, pharma, life sciences) preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Work from office hybrid- Pune

1.5+ years of handson experience working with MES and/or SCADA applications

2. Strong practical experience with Ignition (configuration, projects, gateway, troubleshooting)

3. Ignition and Sepasoft implementation/support experience preferred

4. Handson experience configuring and supporting MES modules (Sepasoft is an advantage)

5. Strong Python (Python) scripting skills, including writing and debugging scripts

6. Strong SQL skills, including working with MES schemas, transactions, and audit data

7. Experience working directly within MES/SCADA applications, not just coordinating vendors

8. Understanding of ITside ownership of OT systems, including servers, databases, and integrations

9. Experience supporting or validating data ingestion using OPC UA, MQTT, or similar industrial protocols

10. Ability to troubleshoot application, data, and integration issues across ITOT environments

11. Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments

12. Familiarity with regulated environments (medical devices, pharma, life sciences) preferred

13. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
