Job summary

State Street is seeking an Appian Developer to design and develop technical solutions on the Appian BPM Suite based on gathered requirements. You will coordinate integrations with third-party platforms, define architectural standards, and perform deployments with a focus on quality and delivery.

This role requires strong Java/J2EE experience, RDBMS familiarity (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server), and the ability to work with global teams and business users to understand processes and system needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years in Architecture/Design and Development using Appian (Appian Level 1 Credential preferred).
• Experience with Process Engineering, Low Code solutions, and AI/ML implementations.
• Strong Java and J2EE experience; familiarity with Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server.

What you will be responsible for

As an Appian Developer you will

• - Design and develop technical solutions on the Appian BPM Suite based on the requirements gathered.
• - Design integration requirements with other third-party platforms
• - Design data models
• - Defining architectural and development standards for the project in adherence to Appian and client's best practices
• - Able to do the Appian application deployments
• - Performing frequent code reviews and ensuring quality of the overall delivery
• - Performing User Acceptance Testing with business users, BA
• - Work with global teams, including business users, architects, technical personnel, to understand business processes and system requirements
• - Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical groups, both internal and external

What we value

• - 6 to 8 Years of experience in Architecture/Design and Development using Appian (Appian Level 1 Credential preferred)
• - Experience in Object Oriented programming languages primarily Java
• - Experience in developing on J2EE platforms, RDBMS platforms (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
• - Experience in Distributed environments
• - Experience in working with at least one external integration, i.e. Web Services.
• - Good logical and analytical reasoning ability

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Client Solutions Architect
• 5+ years of experience in Architecture/Design and Development using Appian (Appian Level 1 Credential preferred)
• Experience with Process Engineering, Low Code solutions, and demonstratable AI and ML implementations
• Experience in Object Oriented programming languages primarily Java
• Experience in developing on J2EE platforms, RDBMS platforms (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
• Experience in Distributed environments

• Understanding of State Street’s custody, accounting, insurance, and front-to-back (Alpha) technologies.
• Excellent program management experience including plan definition, budgeting, and execution.
• Provide ability to manage a global team in a driven, dynamic environment under pressure

Additional requirements

• Financial Services experience preferred
• Experience with State Street’s services, its technology roadmap and its global operating model is strongly preferred
