Job summary

SRS Infoway in India seeks an APM Administrator to lead design, deployment, and optimization of Application Performance Management and Monitoring tools across Unix environments. You will work with AppDynamics and other tools to meet security requirements and automate deployments.

Responsibilities include engineering AppDynamics Controller deployments, cloud IaaS/PaaS adoption, scalable architecture, integration with other monitoring tools, and developing guidelines for DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• Prior implementation and customization experience with APM tools in Unix environments.
• Experience with Cisco AppDynamics is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment models (IaaS/PaaS) and automation.

APM Administrator will operate on the team responsible for delivery of Application Performance Management and Monitoring Tools. Among the teams functions are APM product engineering and customizations so as to meet security requirements and enhance automation; design of a deployment architecture that is scalable; resilient; and cost-effective; provide DevOps personnel with guidelines and best practices for usage; promote usage of APM during the development lifecycle phase; optimize use of APM across platforms and service delivery models. Focus on APM toolsets for proactive monitoring of multi-tier applications and end user experience.

Design and implementation of Application Performance Management (APM) toolsets in large-scale, enterprise environments. Prior implementation and customizations experience with APM tools such as Cisco AppDynamics; Dynatrace; New Relic; Datadog , or similar tools in Unix environments needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer solutions and establish standards for AppDynamics Controller and agent deployments, including optimizations and tunings per requirements.
• Adopt AppDynamics for usage in Cloud IaaS and PaaS models.
• Devise an authentication and authorization model for AppDynamics within standard Client security framework. Develop customizations as needed.
• Work with Architect teams to design a highly available and scalable Controller infrastructure with appropriate monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Seek opportunities for automated deployments so as to reduce operational tasks.
• Seek opportunities for integration of AppDynamics with other monitoring tools in the Client portfolio.
• Test and implement AppDynamics Monitoring Extensions appropriate for Client’s technology stack (e.g. Webservers; Messaging Tiers).
• Test and implement AppDynamics Database Agent.
• Test and implement AppDynamics End User Experience Monitoring.
• Custom extension development, configuration and rollout.
