Job summary

Vishal Mega Mart seeks an experienced CAD/visual designer to translate seasonal trends into market-ready ranges. You will create color boards, develop CAD drawings, and coordinate with vendors for sample development and approvals. The role requires strong software skills and a keen eye for fashion direction.

Collaborating with the buying team, you will benchmark trends, present market insights, and ensure timely PP sample comments to finalize the product range.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of relevant work experience required.
• Graduate or Post Graduate from NIFT or PEARL is preferred.
• Well versed in Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel and other software necessary to do CADs and illustrations.

Responsibilities

• Understand upcoming trends and validate them with aspirational brands for commercial assurance.
• Create Colour Board at season start with updated shades by buying samples from the Brand.
• Conduct market research with the team and present findings to identify trends to enhance the range.
• Prepare market benchmarking reports after visits and share with the team.
• Participate in internal reviews to select range with buying team.
• Visit vendors for sample development and coordination of artworks.
• Approve lab dips for bulk production.
• Provide comment on PP samples with the buyer to align final specs.

Role & responsibilities

• Create Colour Board in the beginning of season with updated shades by buying samples from the Brand.
• Regularly do Market Research with Team and make a presentation to identify any particular trends or style that can be incorporated in the range for better business.
• Create Market benchmarking report and share with the team after visit.
• Internal reviews to select range with buying team.
• Vendor visit for sample development.
• Lab dip approvals for bulk production.
• Artwork creation for the selected styles and coordinate with the vendors.
• Review strike offs and give comments for pp sample.
• Give pp sample comment with buyer
