Job summary

Infosys is seeking an API Testing professional to design, execute, and automate API test cases across functional, integration, and regression scopes. You will validate payloads, enforce security and authentication checks, and contribute to CI/CD integration with modern tooling.

Candidates should have 3–8 years of API testing experience and strong skills in Postman, Swagger, Rest Assured, Karate, and Python-based frameworks. Exposure to microservices, cloud, and Agile practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of experience in Software Testing focusing on API Testing.
• Strong experience testing REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Hands-on with Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, Insomnia.
• Experience with API automation using Rest Assured, Karate, or Python-based frameworks.
• Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, status codes, and API design principles.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and Basic Auth.
• SQL and database testing.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for defect tracking.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microservices Architecture.
• Knowledge of API performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Basic understanding of security testing concepts like OWASP API Security.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
