Job summary

PPFAS Mutual Fund is seeking an experienced API Platform & Integration expert to build and govern our API ecosystem using Kong API Gateway. You will drive REST and SOAP integrations, microservices adoption, and cloud-native best practices across internal and external applications.

You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to deliver a scalable, secure API framework that supports digital transformation and partner integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kong API Gateway and API governance.
• Design, develop REST and SOAP-based integrations.
• Lead SOAP-to-REST transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an enterprise API Management Framework using Kong API Gateway.
• Establish API governance, standards, versioning, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• Manage API onboarding, publishing, monitoring, and operational support.
• Ensure API performance, availability, and scalability.
• Design, develop, and manage REST and SOAP-based integrations.
• Lead SOAP-to-REST API transformation initiatives.
• Integrate internal and external business applications, partner systems, and third-party platforms.
• Support backend integrations built on PHP Laravel and Python.
• Design and implement microservices-based architecture.
• Define service communication standards and integration patterns.
• Support application modernization and service decomposition initiatives.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable, and resilient application architecture.
