Tekskills Inc. in Mumbai is seeking a Backend Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to build scalable backend systems using Python and FastAPI. You will work with a NoSQL DocumentDB data store in a microservices-based architecture.

You will design RESTful APIs, collaborate with frontend and product teams, ensure performance and security, and contribute to CI/CD, testing, and code reviews. Experience with cloud deployments is a plus.

Formación

• 3–5 years backend development experience.

Job Summary

We are hiring a Backend Engineer with 3 5 years of experience to build scalable and high-performance backend systems using Python and FastAPI . The role involves working with NoSQL databases (Amazon DocumentDB preferred) in a microservices-based architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI Build and optimize backend services using NoSQL databases (Amazon DocumentDB)
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams for seamless integration
• Ensure API performance, scalability, and reliability Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Work in a microservices and distributed systems environment
• Debug and resolve production and development issues Follow coding standards, testing practices, and code reviews

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases
• Understanding of query optimization, indexing, and caching
• Knowledge of API design patterns (versioning, rate limiting, throttling)
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and testing frameworks (PyTest preferred)
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization (Azure AD, Okta, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience using LLM/GPT-based tools for development productivity

Nice to Have

• Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP) Docker and Kubernetes
• Microservices architecture CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
