Job summary

Emerson India is seeking a Finance professional to support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit requests within the Global Accounts Payable organization.

The role involves processing invoices, bank reconciliations, payments, and expense management, requiring strong English communication skills and a finance degree.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant Certificate is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in month-end close activities and data analysis.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audit requests with documentation and explanations.
  • Complete Superuser tasks within Global AP, including testing and projects.
  • Process incoming invoice entries and manage payments.
  • Handle bank platforms and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Manage credit card programs and employee expense reports.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries via standard ticketing system.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including sub-ledger close, accrual preparation, reclassifications, and data analysis.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and clear explanations.
  • Complete Superuser tasks within the Global AP organization, such as testing and participating in projects.
  • Incoming invoice entry
  • Managing bank platforms
  • Preparing bank reconciliation
  • Creating payments
  • Employee expense report management
  • Credit card program management
  • Respond to vendor inquiries through a standard ticketing system.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (an Accounting degree is an advantage).
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant Certificate is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in a similar financial role.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting and financial records.
  • Strong PC skills, preferably with MS Excel; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
  • Experience in customer service is a plus.
