Job summary

AlphaSense India seeks a motivated Annotations Specialist to support AI model training and evaluation. You will join a dynamic team of AI researchers and product managers, annotating data, testing the product, and coordinating releases to ensure high quality outputs.

The role requires an MBA in Finance and strong financial data knowledge, with a zero-defect mindset and the ability to explain edge cases to engineers. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work with G Suite and MS Office.

Qualifications

• MBA in Finance with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate filings, earnings reports, and capital markets data.
• Meticulous with data and can explain edge cases clearly to research engineers.
• Able to work quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficient in workspace tools (G Suite, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Curate and structure complex financial data for AI model training.
• Collaborate with AI Research Engineers to evaluate outputs and fix issues.
• Act as final accuracy gate before GenAI features go live.
• Provide strategic feedback to improve evaluation tools and data pipelines.

The Role:

AlphaSense is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Annotations Specialist to play a key role in advancing data annotation and analysis for AI model training and evaluating AI-based model outputs.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of AI researchers and product managers focused on developing next-generation Generative AI (GenAI) features for market intelligence. You will be responsible for data annotation, testing the AlphaSense product, and coordinating production releases, working closely with the team to ensure the functionality and quality of your assigned module.

Who You Are:

• MBA in Finance (or related field) paired with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com/BMS/BBA).
• Deep understanding of financial statements, corporate filings, earnings reports, and capital markets data.
• A zero defect mindset with exceptional attention to detail when analysing complex data.
• Ability to clearly explain technical and financial edge cases to research engineers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with workspace tools (G Suite, MS Excel/Office)

What You'll Do:

• Curate and structure complex financial data to train, fine-tune, and benchmark market-leading AI models.
• Partner directly with AI Research Engineers to evaluate outputs, debug edge cases, and eliminate model hallucinations
• Act as the final gatekeeper for accuracy before new GenAI features go live.
• Provide strategic feedback to build faster, smarter evaluation tools and data pipelines.
• Drive continuous improvements in our internal tools, designing smarter workflows that accelerate data delivery and raise accuracy baselines.
• Stay informed on market trends in data annotation, financial data taxonomy, AI ethics, and emerging GenAI tech.
