Job summary

HP is seeking an Android Security Specialist to strengthen platform security across the Android stack, including AOSP customization and application hardening. The role involves collaborating with platform engineers and security teams to design, implement, and validate robust security controls for system and app layers, with a focus on SELinux, Secure Boot, and TrustZone.

Candidates should bring 7–10 years of security engineering experience, strong debugging skills, and hands-on Android internals

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in CS/IS or related discipline, or demonstrated competence.
• 7–10 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Secure Android frameworks, system services, and native layers with expertise in SELinux, Secure Boot, and OTA updates.

Experienced in securing Android frameworks, system services, and native layers with strong knowledge of SELinux policies, Secure Boot & Image signing, Binder IPC security and Android 16 platform changes. Involves working closely with platform engineers, OEM partners, and security teams to design, implement, validate and maintain robust Android security controls across system and application layers.

Passionate about building resilient mobile ecosystems and preventing exploitation at both app and OS levels.
