Job summary

Cityflo in Mumbai is seeking an Android Developer to design and build an advanced Android application. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, while following best practices such as Git, code reviews, unit tests, and scalable code.

The role focuses on improving performance, optimizing loading times and embracing Agile development within a fast-growing startup culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with design concepts and constraints on mobile platforms.
• Experience with Android Studio and Gradle.
• Ability to design and implement modules independently.
• Minimum 1+ year of Android development experience.

Responsibilities

As an Android Developer, you will be building an app that aims to help people commute better. Product is everything at Cityflo, and we are working on a genuine problem that affects millions of people in India. No solutions exist today for finding an easy way to get to and from office, a problem that affects everyone. Twice a day. Everyday.

We are looking for high quality mobile developers who are passionate about pushing mobile tech to the limit and are keen on taking ownership at a early stage startup that is growing rapidly.

About the Position

You will be working on the following:

• Design and build an advanced application for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Implementing best software engineering practices like version control with Git, code reviews, writing unit-tests, writing readable and scalable code
• Improving application performance, optimization for loading times
• Follow Agile Development

We are looking for Engineers with:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Proficiency in Problem Solving, Data Structures and Algorithms .
• Familiarity with design concepts and constraints on mobile platforms
• Experience with Android Studio and Gradle
• Ability to design and implement modules independently
• 1+ year experience in Android development

Preferred skills would be

• Open Source Contributions
• Have published one or more Android apps on the Play Store
