Job summary

Hyundai MOBIS India seeks a skilled Android Automotive IVI Developer to build and enhance Android-based Infotainment (IVI) applications and framework components for next‑gen automotive platforms.

You will specialize in Android Automotive development, AOSP/AAOS, Android Framework, and IVI modules such as Media, Radio, Bluetooth, and Settings, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust vehicle software.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Android-based Automotive Infotainment (IVI) development.
• Experience in IVI Application development (Media, Radio, Bluetooth, Settings, CCS).
• Proficiency in Core Java, Kotlin, Android Framework Components, and OOP concepts.
• Experience with Android 10 and above versions.
• Experience with AIDL, Binder IPC, Services, Middleware, and Multithreading.
• Knowledge of Android SDK, AOSP, AAOS, and Car Framework packages.
• Familiarity with MISRA Coding Guidelines and Automotive Software Development Processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android Automotive IVI applications including Media, Radio, Bluetooth, Settings, and CCS.
• Design and implement software solutions using Android SDK, AOSP, AAOS, Java, Kotlin, and Android Framework components.
• Develop and integrate Android Services, Middleware, and IPC communication using AIDL and Binder.
• Analyze customer requirements, HMI/GUI specifications, and translate them into software solutions.
• Perform software design, coding, debugging, unit testing, and system integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with automotive coding standards, quality processes, and software best practices.
• Utilize static analysis tools and participate in code reviews to maintain software quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues during development, validation, and vehicle integration phases.
• Support software stabilization activities during vehicle production and launch events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including System Engineering, HMI, Validation, and Product Engineering teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, development, and release activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation within the IVI domain.
