Job summary

McKinsey & Company in Gurugram is seeking a Treasury professional to own core Treasury operations for the firm's regional offices, managing cash, payments, reimbursements, and regional investments. You will provide analytical support for banking compliance, account management, and periodic Treasury reporting, while maintaining KYC, FATCA, CRS compliance and banking relationships.

The role requires a 4-year degree in Business or Finance and 3+ years of treasury experience in international

  • 3+ years of treasury experience; GCC experience preferred.
  • Experience in international environments is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; cash management knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Excel and treasury systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own core Treasury operations and regional cash management, payments, reimbursements, and regional investments.
  • Provide analytical support across banking compliance, bank account management, and periodic Treasury reporting.
  • Complete bank account documentation, signatory changes, and maintain Treasury databases; handle KYC/FATCA/CRS requests.
  • Support regional investments and cash management activities; prepare reports on interest income, bank charges, FX, intercompany loans.
  • Resolve variances from daily bank transactions and support ad-hoc Treasury projects.
  • Protect banking relationships and ensure accuracy and integrity of Treasury data; provide leadership with timely visibility.

Your Impact

You will take ownership of core Treasury operations, providing regional Treasury coverage for a subset of our global offices and supporting their cash management, payments and reimbursements, regional investments, and other banking needs.

You will also provide analytical support across banking compliance, bank account management, and periodic Treasury reporting and analysis for the firm.

You will complete bank account documentation and signatory changes, maintain the firm’s Treasury databases, and complete KYC, FATCA, CRS, and other compliance requests from banks and financial institutions. You will also support regional investments and cash management activities and prepare and maintain periodic reports related to interest income, bank charges, FX transactions, intercompany loans, etc. You will be responsible for resolving variances resulting from daily import of bank account transactions and supporting ad-hoc Treasury projects as needed.

Your work will help protect the firm’s banking relationships, ensure the accuracy and integrity of our Treasury data, and give firm leadership timely, reliable visibility into our cash and compliance position.

You will be based in Gurugram as part of our firm Treasury team within firm services. This team manages the firm’s banking relationships, cash and payment operations, and regulatory compliance processes across our global offices.

Your Qualifications and Skills
  • 4-year university degree in Business or Finance
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Treasury; prior experience in a GCC (Global Capability Center) setup is preferred: experience in several of the following areas: Cash management, Familiarity with banking/payment systems and methods
  • Experience in international environments (relative to tax and legal regulations) a plus.
  • Excellent analytic thinking and problem-solving skills; understanding of cash management, financial markets, investments, and foreign currencies; experience with treasury workstations a plus
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and MS Office/Excel skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Self-starter, able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Power BI, TMS (Kyriba) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor, taking ownership of responsibilities and delivering results independently
  • Outstanding communication skills
