Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Sustainable Sourcing Analyst in India to monitor and pursue strategic supplier initiatives, prepare analytical reports, and forecast costs to support decision‑making. This role contributes to decarbonization, data management, and cross‑functional collaboration.

You will analyze supplier practices, maintain up‑to‑date supplier data, and use Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps to visualize insights.

Qualifications

• Manage supplier engagement related to inquiries and data submission on EcoVadis and Kodiak Hub.
• Analyze supplier performance and assist in publishing regional supplier scorecards.
• Support follow-up activities on non-conformance issues identified in supplier audits.
• Prepare reports to support stakeholder communication on supplier sustainability performance.

Job description

The Opportunity

Under limited supervision, responsible for monitoring and pursuing tactical and strategic initiatives/projects in a specialized area (e.g., commodities, vendor/contract relationships, or supplier management). Prepare analytical reports and forecasts in order to track product costs. Recommend appropriate course of action to senior purchasing/sourcing leaders. - Familiarization with sustainability regulations and key leading indicators. (preferred) - working experience in a role involving data, analysis, statistical modeling, (preferred) and visualization including the use of programs such as Excel, Access, PowerBI, etc The Sustainable Sourcing Analyst supports the organization’s responsible sourcing and supply chain decarbonization strategy by analyzing supplier practices, maintaining up-to-date supplier data and monitoring compliance with sustainability standards. The role reports to the Sustainable Sourcing Director and works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage data, monitor supplier sustainability performance, and contribute to key reporting frameworks and disclosures. What we’re looking for

Education: Any bachelor's degree.

Experience: 3+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong analytical skills. Proactive problem-solving mindset. Familiarity with sustainability regulations and frameworks. Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps). Experience with supplier assessment platforms (e.g., EcoVadis, Kodiak Hub, IntegrityNext) is a plus. Effective communication and collaboration skills across global teams. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Ethical mindset and commitment to sustainability values.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain supplier data on key program elements (i.e., emissions, human rights audits, product details etc) to ensure accurate integration into internal systems.


• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to verify supplier data accuracy.


• Manage supplier engagement related to inquiries and data submission on platforms, such as EcoVadis and Kodiak Hub


• Analyze supplier performance and assist in publishing regional supplier scorecards.


• Support follow-up activities on non-conformance issues identified in supplier audits.

Data Management & Communication Support

• Maintain and update program participation and data submissions from suppliers (e.g., Climate Change, Human Rights, Biodiversity, Sustainability Regulations).


• Collect and organize data from various sources to support GHG emissions tracking and responsible sourcing efforts.


• Prepare reports and summaries to support stakeholder communication on supplier sustainability performance.


• Support administration of our annual regulatory campaigns (CMRT, EUDR) and initiate corrective actions.


• Monitor updates to sustainability standards and help raising awareness of responsible sourcing processes across departments.
