Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation seeks a senior supplier development professional to drive improvements in supplier quality and delivery. You will partner with quality, procurement, engineering and operations to qualify and onboard suppliers, monitor performance, and escalate issues for rapid resolution.

The role requires deep knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and LEAN toolsets, with strong project management and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in supplier development.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical commodities related to power systems and related areas.
• Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF16949, LEAN tools and standards.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier onboarding and onboarding.

Job Overview

Manages defined portions of the supplier lifecycle, including performance monitoring, supplier development, and escalation support. Drives measurable improvements in supplier quality and delivery while partnering cross-functionally to support sourcing and operational objectives.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

• Hands on Experience in supplier Development Profile
  At least 5 years of experience within Mechanical/Electrical Commodities related to power distribution, battery systems, EV powertrain, switchgear, UPS, high-power connectors, or data-center power products Quality Management portion. Procurement is a plus.
  Expert Knowledge on ISO 9001, IATF16949,LEAN Tools and other Industry Standards
  Certified ISO 9001 auditor/ VDA 6.3 by 2nd party auditor.
  Strong project-based management experience
  Expert knowledge on material management systems
  Demonstrated skills in a matrix environment
  Knowledge on specific product and process as required (e.g. Molding, Stamping, Mechanical Assembly, PAB/PCBA, diecasting, Cable manufacturing etc.)
  Expert level with the tools related to supplier APQP process, include but not limited to PPAP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, R&R and 8D methodology.Lead cross-functional teams to develop and improve supplier capabilities, ensuring alignment with TE’s strategic goals in quality, cost, delivery, technology, and sustainability.
  Strategic thinking & Cross-Functional Coordination
  Drive supplier development initiatives by leading Souring, SQE, MPDE, Engineering, and other stakeholders to assess, qualify, and improve suppliers.
  Facilitate alignment between functions (e.g., Quality’s audit standards, Procurement’s commercial requirements, Engineering’s technical specs) to ensure unified supplier expectations.
  Supplier Qualification & Onboarding New Suppliers
  Own the New supplier pre-assessment process / Lead onboarding programs for new suppliers, coordinating inputs from Quality (audit criteria), Procurement (commercial viability), and Engineering (technical capability).
  Implement new supplier performance monitoring, conducting regular evaluations of quality, delivery, and service KPIs during the first 6 months post-onboarding until full compliance with TE requirements is achieved
