Job summary

Delta Capita is seeking Junior and Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Database Engineers to support and evolve our Azure infrastructure and SQL Server environments. You will work in a collaborative engineering culture focused on security, performance, resilience and operational excellence.

The role involves monitoring, automation, disaster recovery, and collaboration with cross-functional DevOps and Production teams.

Qualifications

Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure & Database Engineer

About the Opportunity:

Delta Capita is expanding the technology team supporting Report Hub, our strategic regulatory reporting platform used by leading global financial institutions.

We are looking for Junior and Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Database Engineers to help support, optimize and evolve the Azure infrastructure and database services underpinning this business-critical platform. You will work in a collaborative engineering environment where security, performance, resilience and operational excellence are key priorities.

What You’ll Do:

• Support and administer Azure cloud infrastructure and database services.
• Monitor platform availability, performance, capacity and security.
• Maintain and optimize SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
• Support deployments, upgrades, backup, recovery and disaster recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, database and application-related issues.
• Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Contribute to DevOps, monitoring and operational improvement initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation and support audit, security and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, SRE, Architecture and Production Support teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure or database concepts.
• Exposure to Azure, SQL Server or related technologies through employment, education or personal projects.
• Understanding of networking, operating systems and database fundamentals.
• Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for developing a career in cloud and database engineering.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure and database platforms.
• Azure engineering and SQL Server administration expertise.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery and operational resilience.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and implement automation.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

You are likely to have experience with some of the following:

Cloud

Microsoft Azure, Virtual Machines, Storage, Key Vault, Networking, Entra ID and Azure Monitor

Databases

SQL Server, Azure SQL, Managed Instance, Always On, T-SQL and performance tuning

Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, Dynatrace and Splunk

Experience in financial services, regulatory reporting, SaaS platforms, cloud migration, SRE or compliance environments would be advantageous.
