Job summary

Zydus Lifesciences invites applications for a QC Analyst to join our SIKKIM QC division. The candidate will perform analytical testing on raw materials, finished products, and microbiological samples using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR and dissolution methods.

The role requires 1–4 years of experience in pharma QC, familiarity with GMP/GLP, data integrity, and instrument maintenance. Collaboration with QA, Production and Regulatory teams is essential for compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• Minimum 1–4 years of hands-on QC experience in pharma.
• Knowledge of GMP/GLP and data integrity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of RM, FP, stability, water and microbiological samples.
• Conduct testing using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR and dissolution.
• Perform microbiological testing including environmental monitoring and bioburdn.
• Monitor stability studies per ICH guidelines.
• Prepare reagents, media, and reference standards.
• Review data and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain records and document as per GMP/GLP.
• Investigate OOS, OOT and deviations.
• Support method validation, transfer, and instrument qualification.
• Coordinate with QA, Production, and Regulatory for lab activities.
• Ensure maintenance and calibration of instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of RawMaterials (RM), Finished Products (FP), Stability Samples, Water Samples,and Microbiological Samples as per approved specifications and testmethods.
• Conduct testing using HPLC,GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, Dissolution, and other analyticalinstruments.
• Perform microbiologicaltesting including Environmental Monitoring, Water Testing, Bioburden, andMicrobial Limit Testing.
• Monitor stability studiesand perform testing as per approved stability protocols and ICH guidelines.
• Prepare and standardizereagents, volumetric solutions, culture media, and reference standards.
• Review analytical andmicrobiological data and ensure compliance with establishedspecifications.
• Maintain laboratory records,logbooks, worksheets, analytical reports, and documentation as per GMP andGLP requirements.
• Investigate OOS, OOT,laboratory incidents, and microbiological deviations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP,GLP, Data Integrity, and Safety requirements.
• Support method validation,method transfer, instrument qualification, and calibration activities.
• Participate in internalaudits, regulatory inspections, and compliance-related activities.
• Coordinate with QA,Production, Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs for laboratory-relatedactivities.
• Ensure proper maintenance,calibration, and operation of laboratory instruments and equipment.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience withHPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, Dissolution, and other analytical instruments.
• Knowledge of microbiologicaltesting, Environmental Monitoring, and Water Analysis.
• Understanding of GMP, GLP,Data Integrity, and laboratory compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of pharmacopeialrequirements including IP, USP, BP, and EP.
• Familiarity with OOS, OOT,CAPA, Deviation, Change Control, and QMS processes.
• Strong analytical,troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in laboratorydocumentation and data review practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pharmaceuticalQuality Control laboratories handling RM, FP, Stability, and Microbiologyactivities.
• Exposure to regulatoryaudits and GMP-compliant laboratory operations.
• Experience in analyticalmethod validation, stability studies, and microbiological testing.
• Knowledge of laboratorysoftware, chromatography data systems, and electronic documentationpractices.
• Hands-on experience withregulated manufacturing environments and quality systems.
