Key Responsibilities
Research &Legislative Support:
- Conduct evidence-basedresearch on policy issues, government schemes, and sectoral challenges forHon’ble MPs, with particular focus on environment, social protection, andgovernance. Utilize primary and secondary data sources, field research,and stakeholder consultations where appropriate.
- Developed high-qualityexpert briefings, policy insights, and legislative support documents basedon MPs’ specific requests, ensuring all materials were factual withintight deadlines.
- Provide background researchand analytical support for parliamentary interventions, bills, standingcommittee meetings, and parliamentary debates, including identifying keypolicy gaps and opportunities.
- Identify critical policygaps through data analysis and research and propose evidence-basedinterventions at constituency and national levels, aligning with Swaniti'sconstituency development approach and flagship programs.
- In addition to the above responsibilities, youwill be expected to contribute to various projects undertaken by SwanitiInitiative in line with its core objectives on climate change, sustainabledevelopment, and public policy, as required.
StakeholderEngagement:
- Constant outreach toParliamentarians in India and abroad
- Engage with diversestakeholders, including government bodies, think tanks, civil societyorganizations, corporate CSR wings, and grassroots organizations, togather insights, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support evidence-basedpolicy making. This includes conducting stakeholder consultations, primaryoutreach, and research.
- Support the organization ofpolicy workshops, stakeholder consultations, and knowledge exchange eventson critical policy issues, ensuring high-quality facilitation anddocumentation of outcomes.
Documentation &Reporting:
- Prepare high-qualityreports, policy briefs, and knowledge products on relevant policy issues,ensuring all materials are well-researched, factually accurate, andpresented in accessible formats for diverse audiences.
- Document policyrecommendations, administrative reports, impact assessments, and successstories for wider dissemination, contributing to organizational learningand knowledge management.
- Comply with all internalreporting requirements, maintaining high standards of documentation andcontributing to team knowledge sharing and organizational systems.
- Actively contribute tocommunication initiatives, including content development, social mediaengagement, and public outreach to amplify policy insights andorganizational impact.
Requirements
Education:
- Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science, Energy Studies, Climate Change, Economics, PublicPolicy, Political Science, Law, Development Studies, Sustainability, or arelated field
Experience:
- A minimum of 1-1.5 years of full-time professional experience after post-graduation in public policy, governance, environmental studies, sustainability, or related domains.
- Candidates with prior experience working with government officials or elected representatives will be given preference.
- Exposure to e-mobility and the energy transition is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to conduct primary research, data analysis, and synthesize complex information from multiple sources, and disseminate utilizing standard policy advocacy tools and strategies.
- Ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, actionable insights for Hon’ble MPs and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, MPs, civil society leaders, and grassroots organizations.
- Understanding of the structure and functioning of the Union and State governments, including administrative, parliamentary hierarchies, and inter-governmental coordination mechanisms.

- Availability and commitment to provide timely, high-quality support to public representatives on legislative and policy matters, including responsiveness to urgent requests.
- Demonstrated understanding of critical policy issues, including climate change, air pollution, social protection, governance, and sustainable development.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality work within tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Professional reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in visual storytelling, including but not limited to Canva.
- Basic data analysis skills and familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Research methodology, including literature review, stakeholder interviews, and survey design.
- Familiarity with government databases and public information sources.
Location:
This is a Delhi-based position with occasional travel.
Salary Range:
Analyst: Up to ₹50,000 per month (maximum budget). The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, skills, and current/last drawn CTC.
