Job summary

Medline India seeks an Operations Analyst to oversee service level management, inventory optimization, and financial analysis for the division. You will review daily reports, support product management, and monitor divisional gross margin growth targets.

The role requires strong data handling, Excel proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with India and US teams to drive action plans and process improvements across the division.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in handling data and reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivots, charts, formatting).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with India and US teams to generate reports and analyze operational data.
  • Manage inventory processes including surplus, returns, stock transfers, DEDs, and slot holds, coordinate with branches and Sales for resolution.
  • Review and process DED requests, returns, and address AP issues such as overbills, problem tickets, and credits.
  • Analyze key reports (back orders, surplus, open POs) and resolve data discrepancies by working with relevant stakeholders.
  • Run monthly reports on holds, surplus, expirations, service levels, and save/spend metrics.
  • Track and resolve invoice and pricing discrepancies; coordinate with global teams and update costing as needed.
  • Identify top supplier service issues and collaborate with corporate teams for resolution.
  • Monitor rolling forecasts and allocations, support manufacturing sites during production disruptions.
  • Contribute to divisional goals by supporting new business tracking, process improvements, and ad-hoc projects.

Responsible for three key functions within the Division; Service Level Management - managing inventory & surplus: ensure proper stocking of inventory in all branches for the Division. Review reports daily and use the information to formulate and implement plans of action to mitigate service level risks. Division Support Services: provide support services to the entire Division with a primary focus of supporting the Product Management teams. Financial Analysis: monitor Division financials to ensure gross margin growth targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

Good to Have
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of database management for advanced data handling.
  • Prior experience working with U.S.-based teams or in a global operations environment.

Work Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience including experience working with large datasets involving data transformation and manipulation using Excel.

Working Hours: 10.30 am to 7.30 pm - daylight saving 11.30 am to 8.30 pm - non daylight saving
