Job summary

JPMorganChase & Co. seeks an Entity Controller (LEC) in Bengaluru within the GF&BM CIB Controllers team. You will oversee accounting for legal entities, month‑end close, regulatory reporting, and inter‑entity controls, ensuring financial integrity under US GAAP and local rules.

Applicants should have CA/MBA/CFA/CMA with at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong leadership and analytical skills, and proficiency with SAP, Axiom, WDesk, Alteryx, or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Accounting & reporting for legal entities in EMEA region (excl UK) per US GAAP.
• End-to-end month-end close activities and reconciliations.
• Quarterly regulatory reporting and VAT/Liquidity submissions.
• Liaising with auditors and supporting entity controllers.
• Conduct transfer pricing analysis and inter-entity reviews.
• Coordinate with Tax, Financial Control, and regional teams.
• Support process transformation initiatives with technology teams.
• Prepare weekly/quarterly financial statements and balance sheets.

As an Entity Controller (LEC) within CIB, you are responsible for overseeing activities in legal entities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial results and statements. The current opening is within GF&BM CIB Controllers in Bengaluru, which is part of the CIB Line of Business (LOB) within GF&BM India.

Job Responsibilities

• Accounting & reporting for Legal entities in EMEA region (excl. UK) on monthly basis as per US GAAP including month-end close process, parent/child accounting, equity pick up, Capital Hedge, review of inter-entity breaks, and unnatural general ledger balance monitoring
• End to end ownership for month end close activities like Fx Trade out, Capital Hedge, EPU, etc.
• Quarterly regulatory reporting as per local GAAP for EMEA entities like Liquidity reporting, VAT return etc.
• Liasing with auditors and support Legal Entity Controllers for audit and related documentation.
• Perform FR/FFIEC reporting, expense and revenue allocations, local regulatory submissions, and FX hedging.
• Daily monitoring and control of activities involving reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit weekly financial statements and liquidity reports for selected balance sheet items.
• Conduct quarterly P&L and balance sheet reporting, including onshore/offshore ratio-based analysis.
• Analyze legal entity and line of business results, including variance analysis, booking validation, and transfer pricing compliance.
• Partner with Financial Control, Tax, and other stakeholders on revenue allocation and transfer pricing updates, and work alongside regional controllers to resolve legal entity and line of business inconsistencies.
• Drive process transformation by leveraging advanced technology solutions and partnering with strategic technology development teams to achieve sustainable process improvements.

Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

• CA, MBA, CFA, or CMA with a minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
• Solid understanding of industry practices and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with process transformation methodologies or automation solutions.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and financial products.
• Knowledge of SAP, Axiom, WDesk.
