Job overview and responsibilities

The Analyst - Inventory Management is responsible for financial forecasting, monitoring and reporting, and analysis of United Airline’s aircraft spare parts inventory spending and value. The Analyst creates and maintains financial forecasts, monitors spending, and explains variances. The Analyst supports growth and optimization initiatives by managing a portfolio of spending requests for both operational and capital expenses. Then Analyst maintains a continuous focus on improving financial transparency by finding trends in data and developing ways to leverage that information to improve visibility to all areas of spending.

  • Create and maintain financial forecast, monitor spending, explain variances
  • Support inventory-growth and -optimization efforts by providing data and analysis for capital and operational expense funding requests
  • Use enterprise data resources and computer tools in conjunction with commercial off-the-shelf software, e.g., Microsoft Office products
  • Performs ad-hoc data mining and analysis as required
  • Drive continuous improvement through application of project-management mentality and standard tools, e.g., Lean Six Sigma

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.
