Job summary

HITACHI VANTARA INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Bengaluru seeks an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to design and deploy AI-native solutions for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and decision-making. You will work across the FP&A organization (~30 people) and partner with Asset Management, Accounting, Capital Markets, and Technology.

Responsibilities

• Build & Ship AI-powered tools.
• Design, prototype and deploy AI-driven workflows for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, leasing analytics, and portfolio reporting.
• Build internal apps, dashboards, and agents using Python, JavaScript/React, and SQL.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into structured, scalable technical solutions.
• Drive process transformation and redesign workflows around AI capabilities.
• Develop docs, playbooks, and training materials for adoption by the broader team.
• Stay current on AI/ML developments and translate into practical business apps.
• Evaluate third-party AI tools, platforms, and vendors; champion AI adoption across FP&A.
• Contribute to Core FP&A and support financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects.
• Partner with NOI, Valuations, Capital Management, Corporate G&A, and Asset Management Reporting to understand pain points.
• Develop fluency in financial systems, data architecture, and reporting ecosystem (Yardi, Anaplan, Power BI, Databricks/Semantic Layer).

The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will work directly with FP&A leadership to identify, design, and deploy AI-native solutions that transform how the company plans, forecasts, reports, and makes decisions. This role is designed to grow. Exceptional performance will shape both the scope of the position and the broader AI strategy for FP&A and the firm.

You will operate across the full FP&A organization (~30 people, seven sub-teams) and partner with stakeholders across Asset Management, Accounting, Capital Markets, and Technology. The scope is deliberately broad: we want someone who can move fluidly between building a working prototype, pressure-testing a financial model, and presenting a vision to senior leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build & Ship AI-Powered Tools

• Stay current on the rapidly evolving AI/ML landscape — foundation models, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, code generation, structured reasoning — and translate developments into practical applications for the businessEvaluate and recommend third-party AI tools, platforms, and vendorsChampion AI adoption across FP&A and the broader organization through demos, workshops, and hands-on enablementContribute to Core FP&A

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1–3 years of professional experience in finance, consulting, technology, or a related analytical field
• Demonstrated ability to build functional tools or applications using code (Python, SQL, and/or JavaScript) — we care about what you've built, not where you learned it
• Deep, practical fluency with AI tools — you use LLMs, code assistants, and AI-powered workflows daily and can articulate both their capabilities and limitations
• Strong financial acumen — you can read a P&L, understand a DCF, and speak the language of FP&A even if your background isn't purely finance
• Exceptional communication skills — you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• High agency and ownership mentality — you thrive with ambiguity, move fast, and take initiative without waiting for detailed instructions
• Intellectual curiosity and a bias toward building — you'd rather prototype a solution than write a deck about one

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in real estate, private equity, or asset management
• Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Experience with data platforms and semantic layers (Databricks, Snowflake, dbt)
• Experience building with LLM APIs, AI agents, or retrieval-augmented generation pipelinesExposure to financial planning systems (Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion)
