We provide specialized services in the valuation of alternative investments for clients across asset managers, hedge funds, banks, insurers, private equity firms, commodity trading and investment firms, and corporations. We are looking for Analysts to support our global valuation practice.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Assist on a range of valuation advisory services to the alternative asset community.
  • Develop deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets through direct exposure to high-profile clients and industry professionals.
  • Review investment memoranda, governing documents, board presentations, and client models.
  • Assist in interviewing clients, preparing information request lists, and participating in face-to-face meetings to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement.
  • Assist in the design of financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing analyses.
  • Perform valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments across industries and geographies using accepted approaches and theory.
  • Compile statistical summaries of companies’ financial information, develop and compute financial ratios, and present analyses in an organized manner using standard formats.
  • Work with management to build, develop, and maintain client relationships.
  • Report and present analyses and conclusions, including written reports and assistance in presenting work products internally to clients.
  • Attend industry events to broaden knowledge within the alternative asset community.
Qualifications
  • CA, Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent (e.g., CFA); or MBA from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum 0-1 year of experience constructing and reviewing valuation models (enterprise valuation using DCF & market approaches, and other structured investment models).
  • Experience with credit analysis or structured securities (CLOs, CMBS, RMBS, ABS, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
  • Excellent understanding of financial statement analysis, ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards and policies produced by AICPA and other oversight bodies.
  • Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with VBA, Python, and Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and communities.
