Job summary

Lennox International in Chennai is seeking an experienced contracts professional to review, draft, negotiate and administer a variety of commercial agreements. You will identify issues, manage risk, and coordinate with the Legal Team and business units at Lennox’s US headquarters.

The role requires a law degree from India and 4+ years in contract management, with excellent communication and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited Indian law school.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate and administer commercial agreements (e.g., master services agreements, event agreements, statements of work, amendments, change orders).
• Engage in issue spotting and resolution.
• Demonstrate understanding of contractual concepts and risk areas (limited liability, indemnification, IP rights, licensing, confidentiality, data privacy, audit rights, revenue recognition).
• Collaborate with Legal Team and business teams at US-based headquarters on issues as they arise.
• Be responsible for contract management activities, including filing, monitoring and tracking within Lennox’s contract management system.

• Review, prepare, draft, negotiate and administer a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., master services agreement, event agreements, statements of work, amendments, change orders).
• Engage in critical issue spotting and resolution of issues
• Demonstrate understanding of key contractual concepts and risk areas, including but not limited to limitation of liability, indemnification, intellectual property rights, licensing, warranty, confidentiality, information security/data privacy, audit rights and revenue recognition
• Collaborate with other Legal Team members and business teams located at the company’s US-based headquarters on issues as they arise
• Be responsible for contract management activities, including filing, monitoring and tracking within Lennox’s contract management system

Qualifications

• Requires a law degree from an accredited law school in India
• 4+ years of experience with contract management and contractual risk allocation. Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to different situations. Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with commercial contracts in a large corporate environment, preferably at a manufacturing companyand/or reviewing information technology agreements
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members as well as different stakeholders across departments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proven conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues
• Positive, can-do attitude, with eagerness to continually learn and grow
