Job summary

Eaton Technologies is seeking a skilled Materials Planner for its Mobility business in India. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning for the EMEA region, coordinating with schedulers, and ensuring on-time material delivery to the plant.

You will manage material requirements, process supplier POs, handle exception messages, and monitor KPIs to mitigate risks and gaps. Strong collaboration with suppliers and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in Materials Planning / SCM.
  • Master’s degree in Materials/Production/Operations Management (preferred).
  • Engineering graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Mobility to drive planning improvements for the EMEA region.
  • Communicate and coordinate with schedulers and SIOP for plan and execution updates.
  • Understand material requirements and process requisitions to provide POs to suppliers.
  • Work with external suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of material to plant.
  • Execute exception messages and manage internal escalations.
  • Monitor KPIs of internal teams and plan actions to mitigate risk and gaps.
  • Resolve discrepancies with operations and external issues with suppliers (delivery issues, claims, quality).
  • Collaborate with logistics partners and suppliers for material delivery per incoterms.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective/preventive actions for on-time performance.
  • Manage supplier invoices and resolve holds for timely payments.
  • Maintain inventory levels aligned with optimization objectives.
  • Coordinate with Quality and suppliers for RMA and reverse logistics.
  • Work with Engineering, Product Managers and CM for ramp up/down of suppliers.
  • Maintain purchasing data per SPIR policy and other data (price changes, lead times, etc.).
  • Utilize digital SCM tools for maximum efficiency.
  • Resolve warehouse/plant put-away issues.

Job description

What youll do:

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

  • This individual will be responsible for collaborating with a cross-functional set of stakeholders across the Mobility business, to drive improvements in planning for EMEA region.
  • Communicates and coordinates with schedulers and SIOP for plan and execution updates.
  • Understands material requirements and processes requisitions to provide POs to suppliers.
  • Works closely with external suppliers to ensure on time delivery of material to plant.
  • Executes exception messages (postponement/anticipation/cancellation of orders) and manage internal escalations.
  • Monitor KPI of internal teams and provide plan of action to mitigate the risk and stop gaps.
  • Resolving internal discrepancies with operations and external issues with suppliers (e.g. delivery issues, claims, quality issues etc.)
  • Works closely with logistics partners and suppliers for material delivery as per incoterms
  • Evaluates and monitors supply performance (SOTD) and works with suppliers and category managers to implement corrective/preventive actions for on time performance improvement.
  • Supplier invoice management and support in resolution of holds for timely payments.
  • Maintains inventory levels of materials in accordance with the objectives set for optimized inventory level.
  • Coordinates with Supplier Quality and suppliers for RMA of defective parts and related reverse logistics
  • Works with Engineering, Products Managers and CMs for Ramp up and Down suppliers.
  • Maintains relevant purchasing data (specific to Price through SPIR policy) and other purchasing data (e.g., unit price change, supplier lead time, MIN-MAX, FLM, DTS, single/dual sourced, and so on) in collaboration with Data Health andCommodity team
  • Utilizes all digital tools available for SCM for maximized efficiency.
  • Resolve Warehouse/Plant Put- away Issues.

This role would be for Mobility business. Eaton have recently announced to entered into a definitive agreement to combine our Mobility Group with Dana Incorporated - creating a scaled and differentiated engineered solutions partner well-positioned to serve commercial and light vehicle OEMs worldwide, as well as the associated aftermarket channels.

Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience into Materials Planning / SCM. Should be Graduate with Master’s degree (Preferably into Materials / Production / Operations Management) Engineering Graduate preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills (including leadership-level interactions).
  • Deep functional expertise in material planning, MRP, replenishment strategies, and inventory management (Forecast Accuracy, DOH, coverage).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a focus on execution and results.
