Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Strategic Studies, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
  • 1–3 years of professional geopolitical risk analysis or related analytical experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk analysis and international developments.
  • Proven experience in strategic reporting, intelligence analysis, risk assessment, or geopolitical advisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of geopolitics, economics, public policy, and business strategy.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • OSINT monitoring experience and ability to synthesise diverse sources.
  • Ability to translate geopolitics into practical business insights.

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) operations and related tasks.
  • Build and maintain an up-to-date situational picture of the client’s global areas of activity from a security perspective.
  • Collect and analyse intelligence from internal and external sources to identify the threat landscape and mitigate potential impacts.
  • Monitor and track events that may affect operations, including terrorism, security incidents, natural disasters, protests, geopolitical developments.
  • Maintain an accurate event log to support information management and continuity.
  • Distribute relevant security information and alerts to employees and stakeholders in real time.
  • Produce intelligence reports, conduct investigations, and analyse events relevant to operations and business requirements.
  • Investigate information gaps and emerging trends.
  • Interact with customers, partners, vendors, and regional teams to respond to incidents.
  • Evaluate incidents and escalate to security management and business functions.

Job description

MitKat Advisory is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Analyst willing to work night shifts to monitor global security events and intelligence, assess potential threats to the client’s people, facilities, products, and operations, and provide timely updates and escalations. The role will support the client’s GSOC operations, incident response, crisis management, reporting, investigations, and coordination with internal stakeholders and regional security teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute day-to-day Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) operations and related tasks as required.
  • Build and maintain an up-to-date situational picture of the client’s global areas of activity from a security perspective
  • Collect and analyse intelligence routinely from all available internal and external sources to identify the threat landscape relevant to the client’s people, products, and facilities, and help mitigate potential impacts.
  • Monitor and track relevant events that may affect the client’s operations, including terrorism, internal security incidents, natural disasters, significant protests and demonstrations, geopolitical developments, and other emerging risks.
  • Maintain an accurate and current event log summarising GSOC activities to support information management, follow-up, and continuity.
  • Distribute relevant security information and alerts in real time, as defined, to the client’s employees and relevant stakeholders.
  • Produce intelligence reports, conduct virtual/web-based investigations, and analyse events and developments relevant to the client’s operations and business requirements.
  • Investigate, document, and report relevant information gaps, security issues, and emerging trends.
  • Interact with customers, internal partners, peer group leaders, vendors, and Global Safety and Security Management to effectively respond to incidents and execute assigned responsibilities.
  • Evaluate global incidents that may impact employees, offices, or operations and escalate them appropriately to security management and relevant business functions, including HR, IT, Legal, Facilities, and country leadership.
  • Lead initial crisis management activities in response to breaking events and coordinate with regional crisis leads for incident escalation and handover.
  • Support the Global Crisis/Security leadership team with ad-hoc missions and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Strategic Studies, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in geopolitical risk analysis, strategic intelligence, political risk consulting, international affairs, or a related analytical role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk analysis and international developments.
  • Proven experience in strategic reporting, intelligence analysis, risk assessment, or geopolitical advisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of the intersection between geopolitics, economics, public policy, and business strategy.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex geopolitical developments into practical business insights and recommendations.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or executive-level decision-making is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in monitoring open-source intelligence (OSINT) and synthesising information from diverse sources.
