Johnson & Johnson in Bengaluru seeks Finance & Accounting professionals to join the Global Services Finance group. You will manage accounting across balance sheet and income statement, observe global processes, and support on onboarding with exposure to multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
• CPA, CMA, ACCA and/or other financial certifications are preferred.

• US GAAP accounting knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational excellence and ensure timely closing per calendar and SLA.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and validity of actuals within scope.
• Know Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
• Regularly reconcile Balance Sheet to minimize open items.
• Provide on-the-job training for new team members and partners.
• Support auditors and legal authorities in required activities.
• Adhere to worldwide policies and procedures and manage compliance risks.
• Maintain strong internal controls to achieve audit ratings.

Our Global Services Finance team is growing, and we are looking for people with strong accounting and finance backgrounds. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in‑class, cost‑effective financial services, and compliance—in a J&J way—to our Operating Companies around the world.

The finance and accounting team is responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all the General process flows for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement. This role will provide exposure across different accounting processes within J&J and the opportunity to observe various teams as part of the onboarding. We look forward to working with strong individuals who are agile in learning new processes and adaptable to the varying business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain Operational Excellence
• Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLAcommitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
• Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
• Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
• Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items.
• On the job training for new team members / BPO partners.
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
• Understand, adhere, and execute per worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions.
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings.

• Be a Trusted Business Partner
• Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy.
• Support Process Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and Operational Key Contacts (OKC's) to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach.

• Create Game-Changing Innovation
• Generate ideas, fosters, and implements continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities.
• Execute process improvements, generating ideas and implementing in line with global standards.

Education

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
• CPA, CMA, CPA, ACCA and/or other financial certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional experience is required.
• Learning agility and adaptability to different business requirements. These competencies are critical as this role will initially be part of the finance & accounting team’s pool of flex talent during onboarding, to be deployed to the permanent position once readiness criteria are met and as requested by the business units.
• Flexibility to be assigned in different shifts to support J&J's global services
• Filipino citizen or holder of residence status to work in the Philippines
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any finance and accounting related courses
• Strong team working and relationship building skills
• Ability to communicate well to team members at any level
• Good analytical proficiencies
• Ability to prioritize own deliverables and motivated to meet timetables
• Knowledgeable of general accounting concepts, rules and legal requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) a plus
• Experience with SAP or other ERPs an advantage
• Experience in a shared services center of a multinational corporation desirable
• US GAAP accounting knowledge preferred
