Job description

Essential Functions:

  • Work with sr executives and global IT teams to play a key role in deciding strategic as well as tactical matters pertaining to project, program, and portfolio planning and execution.
  • Lead a team of 50+ members. Direct all activities and develop policies and procedures related to the design, analysis, testing, coding, implementation, and support of applications.
  • Monitor and enhance operations of Gandhinagar IT team by establishing metrics, dashboards, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Oversee review of development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs.
  • Manage IT Application budgets and key vendor relationships.
  • Must possess a proven mindset of can-do attitude and continuous improvements.
  • Establish a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence.
  • Possess business knowledge of hi-tech / semiconductor industry in general and preferably in manufacturing and supply chain functions.
  • Provide technical and domain expertise to the team for addressing and resolving complex technical issues; should be able to deep-dive and roll up the sleeves when needed.
  • Understand customer requirements and oversee effective preparation of technical documents.
  • Keep abreast with new technologies / technology upgrades and conduct periodic trainings to the technical team.
  • Possess good knowledge of integrated enterprise solutions and packaged solutions like JDA/ i2 (SCM), SAP.
  • Possess proficiency in managing SAP projects, frameworks like Java/J2EE, .NET, web applications, ServiceNow, Database Management, reporting tools such as Tableau, etc.
  • Build a highly motivated team and demonstrate qualities including but not limited to collaboration, risk-taking, respect for individuals, raising the bar continuously, continuous learning, and resourcefulness to find solutions to difficult challenges.
  • Travel required based on business demands.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/B.Tech/M.Tech Degree.
  • 15 – 20 + years of experience in handling IT applications – preferably in hi-tech/semiconductor industry.
