Job summary

Syfe is seeking an AML/KYC professional to strengthen compliance across APAC operations from its India hub. You'll perform CDD/EDD, monitor transactions, and escalate suspicious activity while collaborating with Client Success and onboarding teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in AML/KYC within regulated environments, excellent English, and the ability to work autonomously with attention to detail, including shift-based coverage when required by time zones.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of AML/KYC experience in a financial institution or regulated environment.
  • Experience with MAS and/or SFC licensed firms is preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Independent, task-oriented with autonomy.
  • Meticulous with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform AML, CFT and KYC activities including CDD/EDD and ongoing name screening.
  • Prepare STRs and ensure proper escalation and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Client Success and onboarding teams on AML/KYC queries.
  • Support policy development and training for AML/CFT.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and process improvements as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform anti-money laundering (AML), combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) and know-your-client (KYC) activities including Client Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), ongoing name screening, periodic CDD reviews, and transaction monitoring for potential suspicious activities.
  • Prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) where required, ensuring timely escalation and documentation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Client Success team, to address AML/KYC-related queries and support client onboarding and review processes.
  • Support the development, enhancement, and implementation of AML/CFT policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks, projects, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in AML, KYC, or Client Due Diligence within a financial institution or regulated environment with MAS and/or SFC licensed firms.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Independent, task-oriented and enjoys autonomy in day-to-day tasks.
  • Meticulous and has great attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis, including early/late shifts and weekend/public holiday coverage where required, to support AML Operations coverage across the group's APAC time zones (Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia).
