We are looking for a Storage/Backup specialist to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing backup and storage infrastructure. Specialist will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available Storage and Backup architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

What will your job look like?

• Configure, install & Troubleshoot Commvault backup environment
• Perform backup and storage maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provide Level-3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the backup and storage infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

All you need is…

• Proven hands-on experience with Commvault Simpana at least 5 years
• Solid understanding of the client and client less backup
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP and FC protocols
• Should able to install, Configure & Perform deep Troubleshooting of Commvault CommServer, Media servers, Backup agents and VMware agentless backup
• Good Knowledge of Linux, Windows Servers, VMware VC and ESXi servers
• Good knowledge and proven experience writing scripts using at least one of: UNIX SHELL, Phyton, Perl, etc.
• Working on Amazon and or Azure Cloud would be added advantage.
• Good knowledge about of at least one storage system of HDS, Dell-EMC, IBM or HPE.
• University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Excellent communication skills
• Teamwork skills and the ability to feel comfortable working with different teams, clients and groups of staff across an organization.
• Willing to work on weekend and on call support.
