Job summary
AWS ProServe India LLP (ProServe India) is looking for highly talented hands-on technical architects to help global telecommunications service providers and partners transform their businesses in India with AWS technology. ProServe India engages in a wide variety of projects for internal customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the Seller of Record’s (SOR) customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the internal customer. Our team collaborates across the entire organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon internal customer needs.

We are looking for hands-on architects who are passionate about:

1. Architecting scalable, highly available telecom solutions that leverage AWS services.
2. Leveraging experience over diverse Technology Domains: 5G monetization, network function virtualization, digital customer journeys, OSS/BSS transformation, mobile edge computing, hyperscale data and cybersecurity.
3. Providing deep software development knowledge with respect to cloud architecture, design patterns and programming.
4. Advising and implementing AWS best practices.
5. Agile software development and DevOps.
6. Creatively linking technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to invent cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases.

As part of the ProServe India team, ProServe Architects should collaborate with internal customers, AWS BD, and AWS Partners to develop solutions to the unique challenges telecommunications service providers in India face in information and operational technology. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think long-term about business, product, and technical outcomes.

ProServe Architects work on the most complex customer challenges and opportunities. They have a leading role in developing both the strategy and the team itself. They combine an informed view of the market with their understanding of emerging technology trends to speed up innovation across their customer segment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 15+ years of experience in the Telecommunications industry in a technical engineering or product role.
2. Hands-on experience in core telecom and network infrastructure including:

• Telco 4G & 5G Network Architecture.
• Private LTE Architecture.
• MEC (Mobile Edge Cloud) Architecture.
• Open-RAN Architecture.
• Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
• Network functions virtualization (NFV).
• Network Design and Optimization (NDO).

Experience in Cloud Infrastructure Architecture, Capacity Planning based on network traffic (BHCA analysis), and Data Engineering & DevOps.

Hands-on experience of setting up PoC (Proof of Concepts), Solution Demonstrations & design implementation plan.

Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience in Telecom OSS/BSS Architecture, Enterprise Application integration Design, Mobile edge computing and Telecom Data, Voice & Messaging call flows.
2. Experience in or with telecommunications service providers, network equipment manufacturers, or related telecom ecosystem partners.
3. Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating large scale and impactful IT systems – either on premises or in the cloud.
4. Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
5. Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, etc.) and/or scripting, Infrastructure as Code etc.
6. In-depth working knowledge in a technology domain such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads, high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), complex networking implementations, highly secured workloads.
7. Experience in a customer-facing technology or engineering role with seasoned presentation skills.
8. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
9. AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other industry certification.
