Must have been involved in different types of testing: Sanity, Smoke, Regression, UAT, Compatibility, Backend Testing, etc.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for understanding the functional requirements and writing test scenarios. The role requires enough exposure to derive and execute manual test cases to ensure product quality. As a QA engineer, the individual will be designing and implementing tests, debugging, and making corrective actions. This position plays a vital role in the company’s product development process by identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs using Jira or any bug tracking tools. The engineer will work closely with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and must have strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes like Agile.

Responsibilities:

1. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
2. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
3. Identify, record, document, and track bugs using respective tools.
4. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
5. Experience in API testing.
6. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
7. Production bugs – analysis, reproduce, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
8. Good experience in mobile app testing – Android & iOS.
9. Should be an individual contributor or representing the product.
10. Minimum knowledge in debugging or analyzing logs when any issues occur in QA environments.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 3-6 years of manual testing experience.
2. Experience in mobile app testing.
3. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
4. Strong knowledge in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
5. Good domain expertise, preferably in Fintech.
6. Experience in API testing.
7. Proficient in test management tools to track bugs and manage test cases & their execution.
8. Good interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
9. Experience in interacting with stakeholders.
10. Exposure to preparing status reports of testing activities – Daily/Weekly/Bi-weekly/Monthly.
