Who we are looking for
Senior Managers who can interact with all levels of professionals both internally and externally. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidates must demonstrate initiative, perform well under pressure, and simultaneously handle multiple assignments. Senior Managers direct the day-to-day Investor Services operations for several client-sponsored hedge funds and private equities.
Responsibilities
- Managing Operations
- Team is responsible for financial transaction processing (subscription, redemption, transfer, switches, redemption wire payment, expense wire payment, distribution wire payment) and non-financial activities (new investor creation, contact creation, static data maintenance, statement distribution, audit confirm creation, responding to investor/client queries, multiple time bound projects), both maker and checker. Ensure seamless service delivery as the primary responsibility of the Senior Managers.
- Some transactions require second review by Senior Managers depending on amount and risk involved; Senior Managers are expected to be fully hands-on with the process to sign off such transactions.
- Senior Managers are expected to handle new client/activity transitions (hiring staff, designing training models, monitoring training progress, flagging training issues, signing off go-live).
- Own investor/client queries (telephonic & email) and provide timely resolutions; prior experience of direct investor/client communication is preferred.
- Ability to manage migration projects from start to finish, design training plans, conduct skill assessments, gap analysis, and SWOT analysis to enhance scope.
- Delegate tasks and manage employee development.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to meet deadlines and requirements.
- Ensure all internal controls and compliance procedures are properly implemented.
- Escalate and discuss issues as required.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements.
Service Delivery & Service Quality- Adhere to State Street AIS internal control procedures.
- Ensure monthly and quarterly client deliverables are achieved.
- Actively guide the team through difficult situations.
- Identify unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and report/escalate according to corporate policy and operating procedures.
People Management- Demonstrate positive leadership and the ability to work well with others, individually and in groups.
- Coordinate performance planning, goal setting, regular feedback, and formal performance appraisals.
- Monitor staff under special performance conditions.
- Participate in total compensation planning for the team.
- Lead by example and support employee development and growth.
Other Responsibilities- Integrate new business/client onboarding.
- Coordinate and manage special client and corporate projects.

- MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Power BI, SharePoint)
- Proven track record of innovation (knowledge of VBA and advanced Excel skills beneficial)
- Prior experience to handle large teams
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Result-oriented with an ownership and accountability mindset
- Drive for performance and culture of performance differentiation
- Executive presence, managing with influence, and effective communication across stakeholder groups regionally and globally
- Embed risk excellence culture across teams
- Encourage and drive a culture of change and ideation
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
- University degree in accounting, business, mathematics, finance or economics
- Strong investor services experience required
- Exposure to Hedge funds, Private Equity or Real Asset funds
