Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited seeks a Structural Repair Engineer to ensure timely return-to-service of aircraft by delivering optimal structural repair solutions that meet airworthiness standards and safety requirements. This role involves design and/or stress analysis, stakeholder coordination, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

You will assess damage scenarios, perform analyses, develop approved repairs, and prepare technical justifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair assessment and solution development for airworthiness repairs.
• Assess damage scenarios using aircraft configuration drawings.
• Perform hand calculations and/or computer-based analysis.
• Propose and evaluate structural repair solutions considering time, cost, and safety.
• Utilize existing delegations to develop approved repairs.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams including Design, Stress/Fatigue, Materials, and Performance.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to validate assumptions and ensure compliance.
• Prepare technical justification documents (Design and/or Stress).
• Secure necessary approvals for repair solutions.
• Respond to customer technical queries related to repairs.
• Propose standard repairs for fleet-wide updates to SRM, ISB, etc.
• Analyse in-service data to initiate corrective actions and follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD).
• Identify and support local business improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely response, effective monitoring, and reporting.

The Structural Repair Engineer is responsible for ensuring the timely return-to-service of commercial aircraft by delivering optimal structural repair solutions that meet airworthiness standards, minimize maintenance costs, and uphold safety. This role involves design and/or stress analysis, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
