The ideal candidate has 5 years of aerospace spray-painting experience, can read drawings, and is comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces while wearing a fresh-air respirator. Maintaining safety and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in a relevant field.
• 5 years of experience in aerospace spray-painting.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must wear a fresh-air respirator as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking.
• Apply primer and finish coats using spraying equipment with epoxy or polyurethane materials.
• Mix paints and related materials per specifications or formulas.
• Perform quality checks for paint consistency and color match.
• Inspect exterior for corrosion and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Document processes, materials used, and time spent per job.
• Remove and reinstall parts as necessary for painting.

The Aircraft Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, mixing paint products, and applying paint to the aircraft. Day to Day activities involve,

• Preparing the aircraft for painting, which may include cleaning, sanding, filling and masking
• Applying primer and finish coats with spraying equipment using various types of painting and coating materials, such as epoxy and polyurethane
• Mixing paint and other materials according to specifications or formulas
• Performing quality checks for paint consistency and color match
• Inspecting the aircraft’s exterior for corrosion, and repairing any found
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Documenting work processes, materials used, and time spent for each job
• Removing and reinstalling parts on the aircraft as necessary for the painting process

Requirements

Education: ITI or Diploma
