Job summary

Qpact Solutions is seeking a QA automation engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, focusing on Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript. The role involves UI, API, and E2E testing, plus API automation using REST clients.

You will explore AI/LLM-enabled QA workflows, tool calling, and AI-assisted test generation. The candidate should bring strong CI/CD experience and a solid understanding of QA concepts, defect lifecycle, and quality engineering while being curious about

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Strong hands-on Playwright experience.
• Modern automation frameworks and scalable framework development.
• JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent.
• UI, API, Integration & E2E testing.
• API automation with Postman / REST clients.
• Git & CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of testing concepts, test strategy, defect lifecycle & quality engineering.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI & LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent.
• Experience building/prototyping AI Agents / AI-assisted workflows.
• Understanding of Prompt Engineering, Tool / Function Calling, Agent Workflows, Context Management, RAG / Knowledge Retrieval, LLM Evaluation, AI-assisted Test Generation.
• Ability to identify QA processes that can be improved using AI.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to experiment with emerging AI technologies.
