Job summary

OutSystems seeks an AI Quality Data Tester (Manual Automation) to bridge traditional QA with AI-driven testing. You will balance manual exploratory testing with AI automation to ensure data quality across BI and data products, validating complex data workflows.

You will drive test strategies, validate data integrity end-to-end, and leverage automated testing tools to scale QA efforts and prevent critical bugs from reaching production.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data quality experience in BI and data testing.
• Proficiency in complex SQL queries and data validation.
• Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices.
• Ability to translate business/technical data into automated test strategies for CI/CD at scale.

We are looking for a AI Quality Data Tester (Manual Automation) o bridge the gap between traditional quality assurance and the future of AI-driven testing. In this role, you wont just write scripts; you will balance a strong foundation in manual exploratory testing with the adoption of cutting-edge AI automation tools, to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our digital experiences and data products from a BI and Data perspective. In this role, you wont just execute scripts; you will balance a strong foundation in manual exploratory testing and data validation with automated data testing frameworks. You will be responsible for designing thoughtful test strategies, manually validating complex end-to-end data workflows, and leveraging automated testing tools to scale our quality assurance loops and ensure 'zero critical bugs' reach production.

We think you ll be a good fit if you have:

• 4+ Years of Data Quality Experience: Solid background in BI and data testing, with a strong understanding of data warehousing, BI concepts, and automated test execution.
• SQL Data Validation Mastery: Proficiency in complex SQL queries, advanced data validation, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience in data migration projects is a strong plus.
• Data Governance Quality Knowledge: An understanding of data governance, data management best practices, and how to test and ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across systems.
• Architectural Pipeline Vision: Ability to translate complex business and technical data realities into automated test strategies that support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) at scale.
• Leadership Collaboration: A highly collaborative approach with a track record of building consensus and driving action. A high degree of initiative, assertiveness, responsibility, and strong attention to detail.
• Communication Tooling Expertise: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English is mandatory) with experience using testing and tracking tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
• Automation AI Integration: Experience in test automation, with an openness or early experience in leveraging AI tools (like Claude, Gemini, or UiPath) to speed up test creation and manual test case generation.

In this role, you will:

• Evolve the Data Automation Excellence Strategy: Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, automated scripts, and testing frameworks for data warehouse and BI solutions.
• End-to-End Business Data Validation: Manually map out complex business data workflows, create and maintain test data, and determine the optimal mix of manual and automated testing to validate end-to-end data integrity.
• Defect Elimination Root Cause Analysis: Identify, document, and conduct root cause analysis on defects, working closely with developers and analysts to proactively prevent technical debt and protect data architecture.
• Liaise for Excellence: Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams-including RD, Data Engineering, Cloud, Security, and Business Operations-to promote data governance standards and build enterprise-grade data solutions.
