MDIndia is seeking a Sr. Executive (AI/ML Engineer) to build and deploy ML models in a health-insurance context. The role is on-site at Wadgaonsheri, Pune, India, and requires 3+ years of experience in Python, ML, NLP, CV, and OCR work.

You will design end-to-end ML pipelines and collaborate with product and engineering teams. Responsibilities include developing DL models in PyTorch, fine-tuning open-source LLMs, building generative AI solutions, and extracting structured data from scans.

Designation - Sr.Executive (AI/ML Engineer)

Location - Wadgaonsheri, Pune

Type - On site, Full Time

Require a Data Scientist with 3+ years of experience who is strong in Python, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, PyTorch, transformers, MSSQL, classical ML, NLP, deep learning, Computer vision, generative AI, LLMs, and OCR text extraction. Knowledge of the health insurance domain is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

• Build, train, and deploy classical ML models.
• Do data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering and EDA.
• Build ML pipelines and handle end-to-end ML project work.
• Develop deep learning models in PyTorch.
• Work with transformer models and fine-tune open-source LLMs (LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon, etc.).
• Build generative AI solutions like text generation, summarization, embeddings and RAG.
• Developing NLP pipelines for health insurance text
• Creating Computer Vision models for X-ray, CT, MRI and pathology images
• Perform OCR text extraction from PDFs/scans and clean/structure extracted text.
• Use MSSQL for querying, extracting and managing structured data and linking SQL data with ML workflows.
• Create data visualizations using matplotlib.
• Write clean Python code, follow version control and use experiment-tracking practices.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams.
• Stay updated with ML/AI trends.

Required Skills :

• MSSQL (T-SQL, joins, stored procedures).
• OCR text extraction tools.
• Strong knowledge of classical ML, deep learning, generative AI and LLMs.
