Job summary

Accenture in Mumbai seeks a Data Scientist - AI/ML Specialist with 7–11 years of experience to drive advanced analytics across client operations. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions, from data prep to model deployment, leveraging Python, R, and modern ML frameworks.

The role demands strong statistical knowledge, experience with forecasting, NLP, deep learning, and GenAI.

Qualifications

• Masters/Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or MBA in Business Analytics.
• 5–8 years of industry experience in Financial Services, Capital Markets, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Retail.
• Proficient in Python, R, and Alteryx.
• Proficient in multivariate statistics such as Regression, PCA, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis.
• Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning: Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, SVM, KNN, k-Means, DBSCAN.
• Forecasting: ARIMA/SARIMA/ARIMAX, LSTM, Prophet, ensembles.
• Boosting: GBM, XGBoost, LightGBM, AdaBoost, CatBoost.
• Visualization tools: Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, Qlik; R-Shiny, Django, Streamlit, DASH, tkinter.
• Relational databases.
• NLP/Text Analytics: NLP, Text Mining, Sentiment Analysis.
• Deep learning: ANN, CNN, RNN, Transformer.
• GenAI: Gemini, BERT, OpenAI, GPT.
• Simulation methods: Monte Carlo, Agent-based, System-Dynamics.

• Masters/Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related scientific disciplines / MBA in Business Analytics / 4 years undergraduate from any Tier1 Institute
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of industry experience in fields like Financial Services, Capital Markets, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Retail, with hands-on expertise in making data-driven decisions
• Proficient in statistical tools and languages, including Python, R, and Alteryx
• Proficient in Multivariate Statistics such as Regression Analysis, Logistic Analysis, PCA, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, Generalized Linear Mixed Models, Linear Mixed Effects Model
• Supervised and Unsupervised learning such as Random Forest, Gradient Boosting Machines, Decision Tree, SVM, KNN, k-Means Clustering, DBSCAN
• Forecasting techniques such as ARIMA/SARIMA/ARIMAX, LSTM, GRU, Prophet, Ensemble Methods, Bayesian Structural Time Series
