Job summary
Accenture is seeking a Data Scientist with Python expertise and 7–11 years total experience to drive data-driven decision making across domains. You will collaborate with global teams on advanced analytics projects, build predictive models, and work with modern ML/DL frameworks and cloud platforms.
The role involves delivering end-to-end analytics solutions, leveraging NLP, GenAI, and time-series forecasting, while communicating insights to stakeholders and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
Qualifications
- Masters/Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related scientific disciplines / MBA in Business Analytics / 4 years undergraduate from any Tier1 Institute
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of industry experience in fields like Financial Services, Capital Markets, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Retail, with hands-on expertise in making data-driven decisions
- Proficient in statistical tools and languages, including Python, R, and Alteryx
- Proficient in Multivariate Statistics such as Regression Analysis, Logistic Analysis, PCA, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, Generalized Linear Mixed Models, Linear Mixed Effects Model
- Supervised and Unsupervised learning such as Random Forest, Gradient Boosting Machines, Decision Tree, SVM, KNN, k-Means Clustering, DBSCAN
- Forecasting techniques such as ARIMA/SARIMA/ARIMAX, LSTM, GRU, Prophet, Ensemble Methods, Bayesian Structural Time Series
- Boosting Algorithms such as Gradient Boosting Machines (GBM), XGBoost, LightGBM, Adaboost, CatBoost
- Familiarity with the visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, Qlik and visualization packages such as R-Shiny, Django, Streamlit, DASH, tkinter
- Familiarity with relational databases
- NLP/Text Analytics such as NLP, Text Mining, Sentiment Analysis, Document Clustering, Chatbot
- Deep learning techniques such as ANN, CNN, RNN, Sequence to Sequence Model, Transformer Network,
- GenAI such as Gemini, BERT, Reinforcement Learning, OpenAI, GPT
- Simulation methods such as Montecarlo, Discrete, Agent-based, System-Dynamic

- In this role, you ll be responsible for analyzing and solving moderately complex problems, which may involve creating new solutions or adapting existing methods and procedures to meet specific needs
- You ll need to understand the strategic direction set by senior management and how it aligns with team goals
- While your primary interaction will be with your direct supervisor, you ll also collaborate with peers and possibly management levels within Accenture or with clients
- Guidance will be provided when determining methods and procedures for new assignments
- The decisions you make will often have a direct impact on your team
- Depending on the assignment, you may manage small teams or work independently on projects, either at a client site or within Accenture
- The role may also require you to work in rotational shifts, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the team and the client
