Job summary

OPENLANE is hiring AI-first Software Engineers (iOS) to build, evolve, and scale the digital marketplace mobile experiences. You will ship iOS features primarily in SwiftUI, collaborate with Product and backend teams, and use AI daily to accelerate coding and validation while maintaining high engineering standards.

You will work with Product, Senior iOS engineers, Android, and backend teams to deliver customer-facing marketplace apps.

You Bring:

Core Engineering Skills

• Experience shipping production iOS features in a team codebase
• Solid Swift and SwiftUI skills; willingness to navigate UIKit where it still exists
• Comfort with CI, tests, and code review
• Growing end-to-end ownership of features with guidance from Senior engineers

AI-First Mindset

• Actively uses AI development tools (code copilots, AI debuggers, test generators)
• Curious about applying AI to real customer and business problems
• Able to critically evaluate AI outputs instead of blindly accepting them
• Comfortable learning and adapting in a fast-changing tool landscape

Technical Experience

• Swift; SwiftUI views and ViewModels
• Basic networking and app architecture (MVVM or similar)
• Familiarity with feature flags and mobile analytics
• Unit and/or UI testing
• Willingness to grow snapshot testing
  

You Will:

• Implement iOS features primarily in modern SwiftUI across seller and buyer marketplace experiences
• Ship flag-gated work; write unit/UI tests; meet dual-OS PR gate expectations with support
• Use AI tools daily to accelerate coding, tests, and debugging—then verify before merge
• Collaborate with Product/design; learn shared platform concerns under Senior guidance
• Pair with Android counterparts on shared product behavior

Who You Will Work With:

Reporting to an Engineering Manager (Mobile), this role collaborates closely with Product Managers, designers, backend and platform engineers, QA, Senior iOS engineers, and the sibling Android mobile team on a daily basis.

Must Have’s:

• 3+ years professional iOS development (or equivalent depth)
• Proficiency in Swift
• Experience building apps with SwiftUI
• Experience shipping at least one App Store app
• AI-first mindset and active use of AI development tools with critical evaluation of outputs
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have’s:

• Snapshot testing experience
• Exposure to SPM modules and shared UI component libraries
• Marketplace / e-commerce mobile experience
• Interest in growing into auth, flags, and analytics ownership over time
• Familiarity with hybrid WebView surfaces

Compensation Range of

Annual Salary: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 USD

(Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
