Job summary

BSI Financial Services, a FinTech company focused on technology-driven mortgage solutions, is seeking a Senior Mobile Application Developer for Android and/or iOS with AI-enabled development experience. You will build secure, scalable mobile apps, integrate backend services and AI features, and collaborate across Product, UX, Backend, QA and DevOps teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mobile development, strong Kotlin/Java or Swift/SwiftUI skills, and a solid understanding of AI/LLM

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with significant hands-on mobile app development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Android and/or iOS development, including Kotlin/Java and/or Swift/SwiftUI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain high-quality Android and/or iOS applications.
• Build applications using Kotlin/Java for Android and/or Swift/SwiftUI for iOS.
• Develop scalable mobile architectures and integrate REST APIs, backend services, authentication platforms and third-party services.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, data storage, encryption and mobile security best practices.
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, usability and different device configurations.
• Troubleshoot production issues, application crashes, performance bottlenecks and integration problems.
• Manage application build, release, versioning and deployment through Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, QA, DevOps and other engineering teams; participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and technical design.
• Use modern AI coding tools to improve development productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, refactoring and documentation.
• Explore and implement practical AI/LLM-enabled features within mobile solutions where they provide business value.

Senior Mobile Application Developer - Android/iOS (AI-Enabled Development)

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Application Developer with strong hands‑on expertise in Android and/or iOS application development and a good understanding of modern AI/Generative AI engineering concepts. The primary focus is building secure, scalable and high-quality mobile applications while applying practical AI capabilities and AI-assisted engineering practices where appropriate.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain high-quality Android and/or iOS applications.
• Build applications using Kotlin/Java for Android and/or Swift/SwiftUI for iOS.
• Develop scalable mobile architectures and integrate REST APIs, backend services, authentication platforms and third-party services.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, data storage, encryption and mobile security best practices.

What We're Looking For

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with significant hands‑on experience in mobile application development.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Android and/or iOS development, including Kotlin/Java and/or Swift/SwiftUI.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, APIs, application lifecycle, performance optimization, application security and secure coding practices.
• Experience developing, releasing and supporting production‑grade mobile applications.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews and modern software engineering practices.
• Good understanding of Generative AI and LLM concepts such as prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, AI agents and tool/function calling.
• At least some hands‑on experience building an AI/LLM feature, proof of concept, application or integration using OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI or similar.
• Understanding of how mobile applications should securely interact with AI services through backend/API layers.
• Familiarity with AI considerations such as hallucination, context management, latency, privacy, security, evaluation, token usage and cost.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or similar tools in day‑to‑day engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills; ability to explain technical concepts to business and technology stakeholders.
• Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technologies rapidly and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience across both Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience with Flutter, React Native or another cross‑platform mobile framework.

Experience Integrating LLM/GenAI Capabilities Into Mobile Or Web Applications

• Exposure to Python and common AI development libraries or frameworks.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, AI agents, conversational AI or multimodal capabilities such as speech, voice, image or document understanding.

Experience With AWS, Azure Or Another Major Cloud Platform

• Experience developing applications in financial services, fintech, mortgage, banking or another regulated environment.
