Job summary

Banking tech MNC in Pune seeks a VP - AI Engineering Lead to drive the design, build, and maintenance of AI platforms supporting ML and GenAI workloads.

You will collaborate with security, governance, architecture, and business stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment, lead high-performance technical teams, and champion scalable, user-centric AI solutions from inception to production.

Qualifications

Level : VP - AI Engineering Lead

Location: Pune

Exp: 13+ years

To be successful as an AI Engineering Lead , you should have experience with:

Hands-on expertise in designing, building, and maintaining AWS platforms supporting AI workloads (ML, GenAI, agentic systems) , exposure to CI CD pipelines and IAC based deployments.Proven experience working across security, governance, architecture, and business stakeholders, navigating complex enterprise environments.A product-oriented approach, with a focus on outcomes, scalability, self-service capabilities, continuous evolution, and exceptional user experience.Experience building high performance technical teams.Comfortable AI tools like Claude code and the likes , applying structured rules , skills and reusable patterns to accelerate development.Some other highly valued skills may include:

Practical experience building ML models and developing GenAI applications.Experience working in Agile environments, collaborating iteratively and delivering incremental value.You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job‑specific technical skills.

The role is based out of Pune.
