Job summary

Apac Financial Services in Mumbai seeks a senior AI delivery leader to own end-to-end AI projects, from design to deployment, and to build a capable in-house AI team.

You will partner with the CTO and AI Transformation Head to identify scalable use cases, design enterprise patterns, manage AI infra and cost, and ensure regulatory compliance.

This role focuses on Gen AI, Conversational, Voice, and Vision, with emphasis on architecture, security, and measurable business impact.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI projects from design to deployment.
• Partner with the AI Transformation Head and CTO to scale use cases.
• Own end-to-end delivery of Gen AI, Conversational, Voice, Vision.
• Provide technical reviews on AI vendor engagements.
• Take handover from vendor build-and-transfer engagements and run as BAU.
• Own the AI platform: model access, retrieval infra, agent runtime, tool registry, observability.
• Design enterprise architecture patterns for agents with lower TCO.
• Work with Integration Architect on exposing LOS/LMS functions as services.
• Manage AI infra and cloud spend against budget.
• Hire and lead a small AI engineering team.
• Develop AI skills across existing technology teams.
• Build solutions in compliance with APAC AI policy and regulatory requirements.
• Manage model risk: privacy, monitoring, drift detection, bias, explainability.
• Partner with Information Security on review and sign-off of AI systems.
• Maintain inventory of live AI systems with model, prompt and data lineage audit-ready.

Job description

Role purpose:

APAC is building AI capability in-house, and this role owns the technical delivery of it; forming a team, and designing and building the solutions.

Responsibilities:

Delivery of AI projects

• Partner with the AI Transformation Head and CTO to identify, prioritize, and scale AI use cases.
• Own end-to-end delivery of approved use cases (Gen AI, Conversational, Voice, Vision, Agentic AI): design, build, test, deploy, monitor.
• Provide technical reviews on AI vendor engagements .
• Take handover from vendor build-and-transfer engagements and run them as business-as-usual.

AI platform and architecture

• Own the AI platform: model access, retrieval infrastructure, the agent runtime, the tool registry, and observability across every agent action.
• Design the enterprise architecture patterns that make agents more efficient with a lower TCO.
• Work with the Integration Architect on exposing LOS / LMS functions as services, and on MCP connectors.
• Manage the AI infra and consumption cost, including model, inference and cloud spend against budget.

Team and capability building:

• Hire and lead a small AI engineering team.
• Develop AI skills and capabilities across existing technology teams.

Security, risk and technical compliance:

• Build solutions in compliance with APACs AI Policy and regulatory requirements.
• Manage model risk: privacy, monitoring, drift detection, bias management and explainability.
